Book Title: A Beer Drinker’s Guide To Knowing & Enjoying Fine Wine

How did you know you wanted to be an author? I take great satisfaction in the act of writing and have been a fan of compelling narrative for a very long time.

What is your advice for aspiring authors? If you had to do it again, what would you have done differently? The first requirement of an author is to write, preferably every day. And to work on your craft; to hone your skills and become a better writer every time you put words to paper, or screen, as may be the case.

Do you have any writing rituals or practices? Being overly concerned with the ritual of writing can easily get in the way; if everything is not just right–the room you’re in, the time of day, the music or the cup of coffee–you have given yourself an excuse not to write. Forget the ritual. Just plant your rear end and get to work.

What message do you want readers to remember? That you get as much out of life, or art, as you’re willing to put in. If you want to be a writer, then write. If you want to enjoy wine or beer do it with happiness. If you aren’t getting where you want to be in life, change your approach.
