Book Title: The Little White Light
How did you know you wanted to be an author? I realized I had a story to tell based on my personal experiences that was very positive and comforting to children of all ages, and adults as well.
What is your advice for aspiring authors? If you had to do it again, what would you have done differently? Write, write, write! Write as if you were telling a story out loud. Share the story with a friend, note their comments as productive and positive (don’t take it critically). Feedback helps you grow as an author.
Do you have any writing rituals or practices? I like to write when the house is quiet and with soft music playing in the background. It’s not a distraction, it’s more of an inspiration and motivation.
What message do you want readers to remember? With each story I write, I want to leave a positive, uplifting message for children. If it makes me feel uplifted, then I have a feeling it will leave children feeling the same way, and I’ve accomplished my goal.
