To complete the Book Excellence Award application, follow the instructions below. The final application deadline is June 30th, 2017.

Instructions to Apply Online

Step 1: Complete the Application Form

By selecting “Apply Online,” you will be directed to an online submission form. As a helpful tip, before filling out the application, you may want to have the following information prepared:If you an author applying:

  • Your name, e-mail and country of residence
  • Full book title and ISBN
  • Number of categories you want to enter and the category names
  • Payment information (Credit Card)
  • The Book – if you plan to submit an e-book or audio book (.pdf, .epub, .mobi, .doc, .docx, .mp3).
  • Marketing Materials are optional (e.g. press release, one sheet, posters, bookmarks etc.)

If you are applying on behalf of an author:

  • Your name, e-mail and position
  • Author’s name, e-mail, country of residence
  • Full book title and ISBN
  • Number of categories you want to enter and the category names
  • Payment information (Credit Card)
  • The Book – if you plan to submit an e-book or audio book (.pdf, .epub, .mobi, .doc, .docx, .mp3).
  • Marketing Materials are optional (e.g. press release, one sheet, posters, bookmarks etc.)

By applying through this submission form, you must agree to the Rules and Regulations of the Book Excellence Awards.

 

Step 2: Send Us Your Book
This step only applies to those who have NOT uploaded their book in the application form. There are three methods by which you can send us your book.

Option #1 – Via E-mail If you would like to provide an eBook copy, please e-mail us at bookexcellenceawards2017@gmail.com. The following are acceptable formats: .pdf, .epub, .mobi, .doc, .docx, .mp3.

Option #2 – Gifted Amazon eBook. If you would like to provide a gifted eBook, please e-mail us at bookexcellenceawards2017@gmail.com.

Option #3 – By Mail. If you decide to send a copy of your book in the mail, please include the following along with your book:

  1. A copy of your completed application form
  2. A copy of your invoice confirming that you paid through the online submission form
  3. A copy of your book per category entered (e.g. If you have entered 2 categories, you are required to send 2 books)
  4. Marketing materials are optional (e.g.  press release, sell sheet, author bio, links to your website/social media pages etc.)

  • FedEx Express International

Please note: We do not accept COD (Cash on Delivery) or postage due packages. If any additional fees do arise as a result of your mail-in submission, you will be responsible for paying any and all of these fees.

IMPORTANT: When mailing your book, please write “Sample,” as the description for the package. Please put the value of the package at cost, not the retail price or resale value of your book(s).

 

Instructions to Apply By Mail

Step 1: Complete the Application Form

By selecting “Apply by Mail,” you will be directed to a form that will ask you for your contact information. Once you have filled out this information, a PDF download will appear for you to download and print. As a helpful tip, before filling out the application, you may want to have the following information prepared:

If you an author applying:

  • Your name, e-mail, mailing address, phone number
  • Full book title and ISBN
  • Number of categories you want to enter and the category names

If you are applying on behalf of an author:

  • Your name, e-mail and position
  • Author’s name, e-mail, mailing address, phone number
  • Full book title and ISBN
  • Number of categories you want to enter and the category names

By applying by mail, you must read and agree to the Rules and Regulations of the Book Excellence Awards.

IMPORTANT: When mailing your book, please write “Sample,” as the description for the package. Please put the value of the package at cost, not the retail price or resale value of your book(s).

Step 2: Complete Payment

If you are applying by mail, you can provide payment via cheque or money order. The regular pricing for the Book Excellence Awards is listed below. All prices are in USD. Authors are eligible to enter in up to four categories per title.

1 Category = $99.00 USD
2 Categories = $148.00 USD
3 Categories = $197.00 USD
4 Categories = $246.00 USD

Please ensure payment is made to ‘Literary Excellence Incorporated’ and that ‘USD’ is printed on all cheques or money orders. All payments must be made in USD.

Note about payment:  if payment cannot be processed, your entry into the Book Excellence Awards will be void.

Note about sales: The Book Excellence Awards will hold sales from time to time. The pricing marked in red font on the mail in application reflects the most updated pricing that the applicant must pay.

Step 3: Prepare Your Mail-In Submission

The following is required in your mail-in submission:

  • One copy of your completed application form. Please make a photocopy of your completed application form to include with your mail-in submission.
  • One Copy of Your Book Per Category Entered. Please submit one copy of your book per category entered. For example, if you are entering 2 categories, please provide 2 copies of your book.
  • Payment to Literary Excellence Incorporated. Payment should be made by cheque or money order. Please ensure payment is made to “Literary Excellence Incorporated,” and all funds are in USD.
  • Marketing materials (optional). Include any relevant marketing materials if you would like. Marketing materials may include: a press release, sell sheet, author bio, links to your website/social media pages etc.

Application fees per category are as follows:

1 category – $99.00 USD
2 categories – $148.00 USD
3 categories – $197.00 USD
4 categories – $246.00 USD

Authors are eligible to enter in up to four categories per title.

Award Eligibility

All books submitted to the Book Excellence Awards must meet the following guidelines:

1) Have an ISBN
2) Be written in English

We accept print books, e-books and audio books. Galley copies are also welcome.

Awards Announced on October 1st

Winners and Finalists of the 2017 Book Excellence Awards will be announced on October 1st, 2017.
