Book Title: Abra-Cadaver
How did you know you wanted to be an author? Someone once said that writers write and I think that it’s as simple as that. If you have words inside your head that won’t let you sleep until they come then you’re a writer.
What is your advice for aspiring authors? If you had to do it again, what would you have done differently? Get a thick skin! Some people are not going to like what you do no matter what you do or how you do it. Be true to yourself and always work hard to improve. I ignore the 1 star reviews and the 5 star ones, the three star reviews are your perfect guide for improving. These are people who liked your work but…
Do you have any writing rituals or practices? I treat writing like any other job. I clock in first thing in the morning and I put in a day’s shift. I set myself a target of 10,000 words a week, some weeks I achieve that in 4 days others it might take 6 but it’s still a job and it’s hard work.
What message do you want readers to remember? If you start chasing everyone’s approval you’ll never stop running.
How can fans get in contact with you?
