Book Title: Adding Fire to the Fuel: Challenging Shame and the Stigma of Alcoholism
How did you know you wanted to be an author? I didn’t really know I had the desire to be an author until I began researching a subject so shrouded in myth and misinformation. I got to a point where I said, ‘If I didn’t know this stuff, how many other people don’t?’
What is your advice for aspiring authors? If you had to do it again, what would you have done differently? Pricing gimmicks like offering your book for FREE undervalue your talent, underestimate the cost of your time, and diminish your credibility. Juicing your numbers with free download weekends etc. gives you nothing in return.
Do you have any writing rituals or practices? I’m a dinosaur: I write every note and the first two drafts longhand. I think it forces you to focus on sentence structure and delivery.
What message do you want readers to remember? At the root of it, if something causes a problem, it IS a problem.
How can fans get in contact with you?
