Author Name: Hi-Dong Chai

Book Synopsis: I hate war. War kills, maims and orphans. It leaves a deep scar in the hearts of those who are affected by it. Through WWII and the Korean War, I lost my Father and two brothers. Shattered by the wars is a story of my family during those years – a story of love, sacrifice, faith, and suffering. The heroine in the story is my mother. Through her unceasing prayers, she was able to walk through the despair and distress, and lead us onward with love and grace and absolute faith in God.
